To get you or your loved one where you need to be for immediate treatment, Novant Health provides intensive care air medical transportation. Novant Health provides life-saving transport in and around New Hanover County through its own transport fleet, AirLink.

AirLink Serves Southeastern North Carolina

Three Novant Health AirLink medical helicopters are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to transport critical and injured patients from other facilities or transfer patients from scene-to-hospital.

If you are critically ill or injured, our highly trained onboard medical professionals are able to quickly assess, treat, and stabilize you and safely bring you to advanced care at a nearby hospital. We provide transport for trauma care as well as non-trauma critical conditions like cardiac, stroke, cardiovascular, high-risk obstetrics, and pediatric care.

Every AirLink helicopter is flown by a licensed pilot with more than 2,000 hours of flying experience. Each helicopter is configured to fly one patient at a time under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), and crew members are trained to use night vision goggles.
