First do no harm

The Novant Health Institute for Safety and Quality is dedicated to eliminating preventable harm to our patients and achieving the best possible patient outcomes. Our team has developed and implemented a number of safety and quality protocols, and among them are five key behaviors to ensure our team members are focused on safety in everything they do. Our First Do No Harm program is in place to effectively assess care and treatment plans, communicate clearly with everyone involved, focus on the tasks at hand and support everyone involved in delivering remarkable care.

Our award-winning programs are here to protect you

Novant Health hospitals and clinics are ranked as some of the best for safety and quality. Each year we receive recognition for the quality of care we bring to our patients and our communities.
