Trauma Services
For patients who suffer life-threatening or life-changing injury, Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center provides access to the only trauma center in the region. Thousands of patients are treated at NHRMC each year for traumatic injuries.
Trauma Services is committed to making sure you receive highly coordinated and skilled care at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, which is a Level II Trauma Center - one of only nine Level I or II trauma centers in the state.

The Trauma Services Department is part of the team working to provide you with outstanding care. This multidisciplinary approach is critical to treating trauma patients. Collaboration from all team members is essential to supporting the foundation of trauma care designed to contribute to successful patient outcomes.

New Hanover Regional Medical Center also serves as the advisory facility for the Southeastern Regional Advisory Committee (SERAC).
