MEET THE TEAM

Depending on the severity of your child's illness or injury, he or she may admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at NHRMC Betty H. Cameron Women's & Children's Hospital. 

Here we provide advanced, life-saving treatments and technologies, while maintaining the family-friendly approach that encourages your involvement and helps comfort your child. 

Expert Pediatric Critical Care

We understand that you may feel overwhelmed and scared. We want you to know your child is in the very best hands. He or she will receive care around-the-clock by physicians and registered nurses specially trained in pediatric critical care. Our team includes pediatric intensivists and pediatric hospitalists who oversee the care and treatment of children in the PICU.

Surrounding Our Families With Care

We know you won't want to leave your child's side more than you have to, so we want to make you as comfortable as possible.  We offer:

  • Private rooms with sleep sofas
  • Large family spaces
  • Family kitchen, living room and washer and dryer

If you need additional accommodations, talk with us about staying at the nearby SECU Family House. In addition, we offer various services our families have found helpful such as Spiritual Care, dining options and computer access.
