Ensuring the good health and well-being of a child is a parent's greatest desire. But that doesn't just happen on its own. It takes a community of experts with the very best resources in a one-of-a-kind facility. In southeastern North Carolina that facility is the Betty H. Cameron Women's & Children's Hospital, a place that offers technically advanced care to all infants and children up to age 18. With physicians solely dedicated to the care of hospitalized children and equipment designed to meet the size-specific needs of the pediatric patient, the care of your child - if seriously ill or injured - will be some of the finest pediatric medicine has to offer.
We recognize how important it is for children to be near those who love and support them, particularly when faced with an illness or injury. Our programs and facilities are designed to minimize the stress on your child and your family. Our family-centered care encourages you to stay with your child and be a part of their care team.
Our services include:
Neonatal Intensive Care
For children born prematurely or critically ill, we offer care in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Here, you can share a private room with your baby to maximize time together while your baby receives expert care.
If your child needs hospitalization, they will receive care in our colorful Pediatrics Unit. This area aims to make the hospital a more comforting place for your child, with a spacious playroom, play therapists, and staff who understand the stress a hospitalization places on the child and their family.
Pediatric Intensive Care
When your child's needs are more severe, he or she may receive care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Advanced pediatric critical care specialists are here to provide around-the-clock care and treatment.
Pediatric Specialty Clinic
The Nunnelee Pediatric Specialty Clinic is a place to find ongoing care and support for your child who needs specialized care for a chronic condition. Through the clinic, we provide local families access to a large team of pediatric specialists.
