In 2008, New Hanover Regional Medical Center began its Code STEMI program. Since then, the program has benefited thousands of patients and continues to help more every day. As part of our commitment, we provide extensive resource information for STEMI providers, including the STEMI-related programs and documents listed below.
STEMI-Related Programs
NHRMC Cardiovascular Symposium
Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, emergency medical services, paramedics, radiology technicians, physical and respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals attend the annual NHRMC Cardiovascular Symposium.
AHA Mission: Lifeline Gold Plus Award
The AHA Mission: Lifeline program helps existing STEMI systems of care incorporate out-of-hospital cardiac resuscitation into their systems.
HeartRescue Project
The HeartRescue Project is designed to improve how sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is recognized, treated, and measured in the United States.
STEMI Accelerator Program
The STEMI Accelerator Program provides an intense focus to develop and refine systems of care for STEMI patients by engaging multiple entities that provide emergency medical care and reperfusion therapy within the same geographical region.
Regional Approach to Cardiovascular Emergencies (RACE) Project
RACE CARS is a North Carolina statewide system for providing rapid coordinated care of cardiovascular emergencies.
