Student Services/Offices of Regional Primary Care Education (ORPCE)

SEAHEC Student Services is home to one of nine Offices of Regional Primary Care Education (ORPCE) in North Carolina. ORPCE works with university course directors and clinical coordinators to identify teaching sites and to coordinate clinical community based placements within the five county (Brunswick, Columbus, Duplin, New Hanover, and Pender counties) region of SEAHEC. Located in the heart of the Cape Fear region, SEAHEC’s Student Services provides the highest level of educational experience in an area packed full of amenities from charming Whiteville to downtown Wilmington to the beach communities. Roughly 250 preceptors in community medical practices, hospitals, and community health centers currently work with SEAHEC to provide training for medical, nurse practitioner, pharmacy, and physician assistant students.
