Continuing Education

How Can We Help You?

Do you have a question about continuing education?

Our Continuing Professional Development team serves practicing health professionals from diverse disciplines within the SEAHEC region.

These include:

Allied Health

Allied health professionals are a vital part of the care team and make-up a large percentage of the health workforce in our state. SEAHEC is an approved provider and/or can offer discipline specific credit for many allied health professions.

Behavioral Health

NBCC logoBehavioral health education serves professions in the fields of mental health, development disabilities, and substance use. SEAHEC is recognized by the North Carolina Psychology Board as an approved provider of Category A Continuing Education for North Carolina Licensed Psychologists. Additionally, SEAHEC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5597. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. SEAHEC is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)

Through our CME discipline, we work to link practitioners with needed resources, promote an interprofessional approach to healthcare, and provide a variety of educational opportunities designed by and for physicians and advanced level practitioners. SEAHEC is accredited by the North Carolina Medical Society to designate programs for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.

Continuing Nursing Professional Development
