Biography

Hello! My name is Sarah and I am originally from the small mountain community of Alpine, California. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Cellular & Molecular Biology at Westmont College in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA. I then moved cross-country to the rural farmland of Buies Creek, NC to attend Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. While in medical school, I married the love of my life, Ryan and then proceeded to spend the first 1.5 years of our marriage in separate states while we completed our graduate degrees.

I choose Family Medicine because of its emphasis on the treating the whole person; mind, body and spirit. I also love being able to see and treat the full spectrum of ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. I have had the privilege of participating in several abroad mission trips in Armenia, China and Mexico as well as locally in California, Illinois and North Carolina. My specific interests in medicine include rural and underserved care, global and local outreach/mission work and osteopathic manipulative medicine. I chose Coastal Family Medicine because it felt like an environment that was supportive and genuinely cared for its patients and staff.

Things that are important to me include my faith in the Lord and quality time with my family. In my free time I enjoy sailing, kayaking, hiking, playing board games and debating with my husband on whose degree is better; doctor or dentist?

I am excited to be here in Wilmington and look forward to meeting you!
