In a state of emergency, prescriptions can be filled early without prior doctor approval. A one-time emergency supply can also be dispensed without refill authorization in certain circumstances: http://www.ncbop.org/lawsrules/rules.1800.pdf

For disaster assistance that is non-emergent, please contact NC 211 by dialing 211 or accessing information at www.nc211.org/

To find a shelter near you, you can text the word “shelter” along with your zip code to FEMA’s 43362 text line.

ReadyNC is a free app that you can download from your phone’s app store. This app provides information that helps you prepare, get assistance if needed, lists of shelters, road conditions, flood information, and more. All of the resources on the app can also be found online here: https://www.readync.org
