We know that after a stay in the hospital, you may be looking forward to getting back home. In order to make your discharge process as smooth as possible, a discharge associate will visit you at the bedside to collect your personal, insurance and prescription information. Our discharge associate will then coordinate the filling of your medications with the NHRMC Outpatient Pharmacy so they will be ready to pick up when you leave, saving you a stop on the way home.
Hours of Service
Monday-Friday: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
For patients who may need more education on a new medication regiment, NHRMC offers one-on-one visits with a discharge pharmacist. NHRMC pharmacists can go over your questions, provide specific education on possible side effects, demonstrate administration of certain medications such as inhalers, review dosages and discuss any other concerns.
You may reach a discharge associate by calling 910.341.9222.
NHRMC Outpatient Pharmacy and ED-North Pharmacy offer two of New Hanover County's permanent drop box locations for residents who need to safely dispose of their unwanted medications.
