NHRMC Updates Travel Statement for August

August 20, 2020

NHRMC updated its Travel Statement to Version 5.0 on Aug. 5, 2020.

The policy was updated to reflect:

  • Governor Cooper’s Executive Order 155 extended Executive Order 147, which limited openings and continue closing of businesses (including bars and gyms) through September 11, 2020.
  • The order recommends limited travel. If you must travel, make sure to use recommended safeguards by masking, social distancing and frequent hand washing/hand sanitizing.
  • Several states have quarantine requirements for travelers.  NC is still considered a “red” state and you may need to quarantine for 14 days in the state you visit if the rule is in effect, (e.g., NY, NJ).  Maine and Hawaii are requiring a negative Covid-19 test 72 hours prior to arrival in their state.
  • NHRMC continues with a hold on non-essential business travel. If essential travel is necessary for education and training as part of critical operations, please discuss the need with your Vice President.
