As Hurricane Season Begins, Employees Should Plan for Emergency Childcare

June 09, 2020

When hurricanes hit Southeastern North Carolina, NHRMC rallies together to take care of our community. Hurricane season has begun, and, even as COVID-19 continues to affect our region, we must be planning ahead for a possible storm.

As NHRMC enters into hurricane season, employees are reminded to review their Individual Emergency Response Plan. NHRMC will not offer childcare in the event of shelter of place this year, and this document ensures that you and your family are prepared and have a plan in place for childcare or other types of dependent care should NHRMC need to shelter-in-place.

As supervisors review storm teams, they should review these response plans and ensure that all storm team members are prepared.

Please consider the childcare and elder care options available to you – families, friends, co-workers and Care.com.

Please read the FAQs on CapsLive for more information about your Individual Emergency Response Plan.
