A former patient used his unique talent to recognize the NHRMC providers and staff members who cared for him during a recent hospital stay. Iceman Ski, a local ice sculptor, was recently a patient at NHRMC for over two weeks. He was so moved by the care he received that he wanted to do something the NHRMC team.
On Friday, May 22, Iceman Ski carved a 1,000-pound ice sculpture and delivered it to be displayed in the lobby of Women’s & Children’s Hospital. The sculpture is a tribute to all NHRMC's healthcare heroes.
We encourage staff to practice social distancing and proper mask donning when viewing the sculpture. For those who are unable to leave their units or want to appreciate the sculpture from a safe distance, look for an upcoming video on NHRMC's social channels.
