After 42 years in healthcare, Becca Wolfe, RNC, will be retiring on January 1. Becca graduated nursing school in 1978 and moved to Pennsylvania, where she worked in a small community hospital amid Amish Country for eight years. She met her northern husband there and hijacked him south to Wilmington, where he is still a work in progress in being made “southern.”
Becca worked the next 31 years at the NHRMC orthopedic unit, where she has seen lots of changes and advances over the years. Becca’s presence will surely be missed as she is one of OH most knowledgeable nurses. She has been OH “go to” person for difficult IVs and lab draws. Becca will be remembered for her spunk and feistiness as well as being a patient advocate and mentor.
Becca has four grandchildren in which she plans to spend more time with as well as traveling and volunteering when she retires.
Becca will be missed here, and we shall all remember her “sweet bugs” and “buggy rides.”
