On November 15-17, the NHRMC stroke team hosted a three day stroke camp at the Rockfish Camp and Retreat Center in Parkton, N.C. The camp was supported by the NHRMC Foundation.
Twenty stroke survivors and caregivers were joined by NHRMC health volunteers in a retreat from daily life and routine, in a supporting environment.
Stroke camp is an opportunity for stroke survivors and their caregivers to get away from their daily life and routine.
Stroke camp is an example of how NHRMC’s care goes well beyond the initial diagnosis and treatment at our facilities. Recovery includes emotional support for not only the patient, but also the family and friends who support their wellbeing long after discharge.
NHRMC is proud to deliver award-winning stroke care, including recognition from Healthgrades as a five-star recipient for treatment of stroke.
