NHRMC would like to recognize the care teams at the Orthopedic Hospital and Floors 4, 5, and 9 for eliminating pressure injuries for 365 days. This is a tremendous achievement that shows NHRMC's commitment to Zero Harm.

Pressure Injury Prevention only occurs when staff from all disciplines engage in prevention efforts.

Pressure injuries, also known as bedsores, decubitus ulcers, and pressure ulcers are a major burden to patients, caregivers, the healthcare system, and society. Hospital acquired pressure injuries (HAPI) affect more than 2.5 million patients in the U.S., resulting in significant patient harm including pain, expensive treatments, increased length of stay, and premature mortality. Stage 3,4, and Unstageable Pressure Injuries are Serious Reportable Events per the National Quality Forum, followed by NHRMC.

NHRMC offers high quality care from dedicated staff. We want to recognize the efforts of our staff as all disciplines engage in prevention efforts!
