Colleen Fels, RN, MSN, will retire from the NHRMC organization after 32 years of service on December 2.
Colleen began with NHRMC in 1987 after moving to Wilmington from Erie, PA. She was a staff nurse in Labor and Delivery for 9 years and provided exceptional care to hundreds of laboring women and their newborns. In 1996, Colleen transferred from The Birthplace to the Outpatient Clinics where she assumed the role of Clinical Coordinator in the Ob/GYN Clinic.
In 2012, Colleen completed her master’s in nursing education at UNCW and joined the Department of Professional Development providing educational support for the staff in the Betty H. Cameron Women’s and Children’s Hospital. In 2014, Colleen return to her role as Clinical Coordinator for the Internal Medicine, General Surgery and OB/GYN Clinics.
Colleen has made a difference in the lives of thousands of patients over her decades with NHRMC.
Her team will host a retirement reception on Monday, December 2 from 4:30-6:30 at the office of Physician Specialists located at 1725 New Hanover Medical Park Drive. We invite everyone who has had the pleasure of working with and knowing Colleen to joins us as we celebrate her years of dedication and see her off to new adventures.
