New Hanover Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that our patients now have access to a new 128-slice CT scanner at the NHRMC Orthopedic Hospital and will have the same access at the main campus on 17th Street.
The network of 11 scanners currently provides access to 16, 64, and 128 slice scanners that are excellent in procedural and non-diagnostic imaging as a tool for doctors to use to diagnose many medical issues.
The addition of the 128-slice scanners is an important tool because it enables providers to get a detailed look at the heart for cardiac function analysis, stent planning and evaluation, and many other cardiac tests.
NHRMC has been recognized by the American Heart Association with its Mission: Lifeline Gold Plus Award, the highest honor given for STEMI care. The addition of the 128-slice CT scanners reinforces NHRMC’s dedication to providing the best possible care for its patients.
