NHRMC is excited to announce progress toward the opening of a new Employee Pharmacy. This facility is under construction next to the Employee Fitness Center and includes space formerly occupied by a dance studio. It is part of a planned “Wellness Village” that will expand on the resources provided for employees and their dependents to live healthier lives.

The Employee Pharmacy is scheduled to open November 1.

The Employee Pharmacy will be dedicated to all NHRMC system employees and dependents. This retail setting will offer some over-the-counter medications, and NHRMC pharmacists will be on site to educate and review medications needs for covered individuals.

Maintenance prescriptions, currently serviced by MedImpact, will be provided by the new Employee Pharmacy exclusively after January 1. Employees/dependents will have from November 1 through December 31 to transition their maintenance medications to the Employee Pharmacy. More information on this transition will be forthcoming.

Incidental prescriptions and refills can be filled at the NHRMC Employee Pharmacy or at other retail pharmacies.

“We are excited to provide this benefit to our staff,” said Michael Edgerton, Director of Retail and Specialty Pharmacy Services. “We hope to build synergy between the pharmacy and the offerings at the Employee Fitness Center, including our workout facilities, dietitians and massage therapists.”
