On July 10, 2019, Marissa Bryant, Health Equity Outreach Coordinator for New Hanover Regional Medical Center, was unanimously elected by the shareholders of Carolina Complete Health, Inc., to a director position on its board. Bryant fills one of the three Community Leader slots on the Board of Directors. She will bring to the board her experience in and passion for addressing social and environmental risk factors in healthcare and coordinating community partnerships.
Established to deliver quality healthcare to Medicaid beneficiaries in North Carolina, Carolina Complete Health is a joint venture between Carolina Complete Health Network, Inc. (CCHN), a subsidiary of the North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS), formed in collaboration with the North Carolina Community Health Center Association (NCCHCA), and Centene Corporation, a Fortune 100 company with over 30 years’ experience in Medicaid managed care programs. Carolina Complete Health will provide whole-person care to improve the health and well-being for Medicaid recipients in North Carolina as a Provider-Led Entity under the State’s Medicaid initiative.
