Pender Memorial Hospital and NHRMC Home Care are the first entities in the NHRMC system to begin using Infor Workforce Management for employee scheduling and time & attendance. They have now completed two pay cycles in the new system, and the results are promising.
The system standardizes processes across all departments and locations and will help reduce the need for payroll corrections. The system replaces Kronos, Ansos, WebScheduler and paper schedules that are still in use.
The Workforce Management build team worked with managers in the weeks and months before Go Live, helping them build their schedules in the new system and communicate the changes to their staffs.
Employees enjoy the simplified process for switching or picking up shifts. And there are fewer payroll errors to correct.
Cynthia Abromitis, Manager of Radiology at PMH and Rocky Point, said her staff of 20 has embraced the change.
“The more I’m in it, the more I like it,” Abromitis said. “I’ve been learning along with my staff. It’s fun to learn something new.”
Throughout the Go Live, PMH and Home Care managers and staff have communicated directly with the Workforce Management build team. The team is applying many of their suggestions to the current Workforce Management system.
“The suggestions for improvements we are getting from Pender and Home Care will already be included in Workforce Management when we Go Live at NHRMC and our other properties,” said Beth Irland, Manager of Centralized Nursing Resources.
Irland, Brandi Page, Manager of NICU and W&C Float Pool, and Paul Yates, Director of Treasury Operations, are leading the build team. They are working closely with managers at NHRMC and other properties to facilitate a smooth transfer. Other departments across the NHRMC system will Go Live with Workforce Management in phases, beginning in August and running through early 2020.
