Michele Erich, Music Therapist/Child Life Specialist was able to give a teenager a ukulele to take home thanks to The Ukulele Kids Club which provides beautiful wooden ukuleles to Music Therapy programs at children's hospitals to help children cope through music.
Michele recognized the importance of music and art to this young girl and her family and felt the ukulele would be a great resource for her to use as an outlet for creative expression and to further develop the connection with her father.
The teenager was so excited to receive her own ukulele which she will continue to learn how to play at home with her dad who is a veteran. He also worked with a music therapist when hospitalized himself at a veteran's hospital.
