The NHRMC Physician Group held its first Walk with Your Leaders event earlier this week. The walk, a partnership between NHRMC and Atrium Health, encouraged employees to meet their leaders and fellow team members (and their families) while having fun and getting active at the same time.
“I am encouraged by seeing so many participating,” said Dan Goodwin, Vice President NHRMC Physician Group. “As health care providers it should be important to make time to take care of ourselves as we take care of others. It demonstrates to each other and our patients that health and well-being are a priority.”
All participants who walked a one-mile loop beginning and ending at Cape Fear Heart Associates earned entries into a prize drawing.
The initiative goes hand-in-hand with NHRMC’s “Let’s Make Healthier Happen” campaign, which encourages our staff can be the catalyst for Leading Our Community to Outstanding Health by modeling healthy lifestyles.
