NHRMC Celebrates Patient Safety Week at Ceremony

In recognition of our everyday commitment to the safety of our patients, NHRMC is celebrating Patient Safety Week from March 10-16.

The annual Patient Safety Awareness Celebration was held Thursday, with Chief Nurse Executive Mary Ellen Bonczek delivering the keynote speech on a Just Culture.

Other presentations include:

  • Joshua Tucker, Director of Radiology: Lowering Radiation Exposure to Patients by Leveraging IT in CT
  • Eddie Seijo, Director of Pharmacy: Leveraging Barcode Scanning Technology
  • Jeffrey Roos, Clinical Administrator for Surgery: Standardization and Management of Bite Blocks

Several employees were also honored for their "Good Catches" from 2018, which helped prevent potential harm.
