Kristi Baker has been hired as Administrator of the Betty H. Cameron Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
For the past three years, Kristi has served as Administrative Director of Pediatrics at
Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics, a 354-bed hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. In more than 11 years at Children’s Mercy, she also worked as Director of Professional Services and Strategic Planning Manager.
As Administrative Director of Pediatrics, Kristi oversees directors of professional services who run many divisions, including adolescent medicine; allergy, asthma and Immunology; endocrinology; and nephrology, just to name a few.
She assists all divisions with setting and measuring quality improvement initiatives and directs operations leadership for physician practices and centers within the department.
Kristi is a Lean Six Sigma graduate who leads hospital-wide initiatives aimed at developing a quality and safety infrastructure. Her efforts have helped Children’s Mercy earn recognition as one of America’s best children’s hospitals from U.S. News & World Report.
"Kristi has a wealth of experience in strategic planning," said Amy Akers, Vice President of Patient Services. "She will be a great fit for the NHRMC system, and particularly in Women's & Children's."
Kristi grew up in Harrah, Oklahoma and has an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a graduate degree in Integrated Marketing and Communications from the University of Kansas.
Kristi will start at NHRMC on March 18.
