New Hanover Medical Group – NHRMC Physician Group is pleased to welcome Dawn M. Thornton, DO, to the practice. New Hanover Medical Group offers a large team of primary care providers with convenient locations in New Hanover and Brunswick counties. Dr. Thornton will be welcoming patients at the practice’s Autumn Hall Location.
Dr. Thornton received her Bachelor of Arts in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathy from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pa.
She has completed clinical research and presented on a variety topics such as acute stroke, virology of influenza and adult Still’s disease. She has practiced medicine for more than 11 years, most recently as an internal medicine physician at Gateway Medical Associates in West Chester, Pa.
