NHRMC to host Speed of Health Innovation Accelerator Series

January 31, 2019
Beginning March 13, the NHRMC Innovation Center will host an innovation accelerator series, “Speed of Health,” at tekMountain, located on the campus of Wilmington’s CastleBranch. Six teams will be tasked with addressing current opportunities in the healthcare field and challenged with exploring innovative approaches that are tightly aligned with NHRMC’s strategic initiatives to meet the health needs of our community. At the conclusion of the innovation series, the teams will pitch their ideas to a panel of NHRMC leaders and community members in a “Spark Tank” event.

“We’re excited to facilitate the acceleration of innovative ideas through our new 'Speed of Health' event,” said Chris Hillier, NHRMC’s executive director for innovation. “These ideas might lead to real positive changes in the health of our community. So, if the thought of turning your ideas into real products, or even companies, interests you, then Speed of Health might be for you. I’d encourage people to throw their hat in the ring.”

We are seeking Innovators
Team leaders for the “Speed of Health” innovation accelerator series will recruit others to join their teams. They’ll be looking for all types of innovators: the entrepreneurs, academics, problem solvers, product launchers and those driven to improve the common good. Bringing these different personality types together can lead to some dynamic advancements and solutions. If you are interested in championing one of these causes, and feel you have the innovative juices to add to the success of the team, please fill out the form below to be considered for a future team.
