Please join us at the Retirement Tea for Pam Hagley, Director of Clinical Resource Services, from 1-2:30 p.m. on Friday, December 28 in the Women’s & Children’s Hospital lobby.
Pam attended Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing and started her career as a Public Health Nurse in East Orange, NJ. Pam then moved to Florida and worked in a hospital Med/Surg unit, moved up to Nurse Manager and eventually Director of Staff Development.
Pam took some time off to travel and wound up in Houston, Texas, where she worked as a Nurse Manager and in Nursing Education. When her husband took a teaching job at Viterbo University in Wisconsin, she again worked as a Nurse Manager on a medical surgical unit. After five years of putting up with 5-6 months of winter each year, they moved back to the East Coast and she worked at the Bon Secours Health System in Richmond, Va., for the next nine years. While there she had the opportunity to advance to positions increasing levels of responsibility, first in nursing and then in hospital operations.
When Pam's husband took a new position teaching at UNCW in NC, they moved to Wilmington, and she has spent the past 17 years working as a leader in Hospital Case Management and then as the Director of the CRS Division here at NHRMC.
Pam has touched so many lives here and will be greatly missed. Her last day will be December 31.
