Oncology Nursing Society Collecting Shoeboxes for Local Homeless

December 11, 2018

Each year, the local Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) collects shoeboxes full of supplies for local homeless people and donate them to Good Shepherd House. They have done this yearly for more than ten years.

This year, due to the devastation from Hurricane Florence, ONS is requesting assistance with the project so that they can help even more people.

Please fill a shoebox (or similarly sized plastic box) with supplies such as toiletries, puzzle books, pens, pencils, notepads, gloves, socks, scarfs, etc. These are examples so anything else you would like to include is welcome. Each box should be wrapped and labeled for man, women girl or boy.

If you are unable to do this but still want to help, ONS will accept empty shoeboxes or plastic boxes, partial supplies, wrapping paper, and monetary donations to complete the boxes.

All boxes and/or supplies should be delivered by December 17, 2018 to the front desk at Zimmer Cancer Center.
