NHRMC Physician Group - New Hanover Gynecologic Oncology is pleased to welcome Michael Robinson, DO, to the practice. He will be welcoming patients at New Hanover Regional Medical Center Zimmer Cancer Center. New Hanover Gynecologic Oncology offers surgical care for the treatment of cancers or tumors affecting the female reproductive system.
Dr. Robinson received his Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. He completed a post-baccalaureate Pre-Health program at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.
Dr. Robinson completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, N.J. In 2018 he completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the MD Anderson Cooper Cancer Center in Camden, New Jersey.
Dr. Robinson is participating in ovarian cancer research as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Prior to this, he conducted research in fields including physiology, chemistry and gynecologic oncology.
“Dr. Robinson will be a great addition to our gynecologic oncology team,” said Walter Gajewski, MD, Gynecologic Oncologist at NHRMC. “We are looking forward to seeing Dr. Robinson use his experience and unique skills here at NHRMC."
