As North Carolina was being devastated by Hurricane Florence, New Hanover Regional Medical Center continued to serve our community. Isolated from their families and unable to check on their own properties, our employees worked long shifts night after night to ensure that our patients got the care they needed and our community had someone to turn to in case of an emergency.

As they finally take time to focus on their own lives, many of them have returned to seriously damaged homes. In some cases, they don’t have a home to return to.

As of October 5, NHRMC Foundation has raised $116,722 to help our employees.

DONATE HERE

NHRMC is proud to serve the needs of our community. In order to continue Leading Our Community to Outstanding Health, we must do as much as we can to help our employees and their families. Like others in the community, they need a comfortable place to sleep, ample food, and reassurance that, as time goes on, life will return to some semblance of normalcy.

In the short term, we want to help fulfill the immediate needs of our employees most affected by the flood. We can help provide them with food, gas, diapers, emergency home repairs, or temporary living spaces.

To fulfill this goal, we have established the NHRMC Foundation Hurricane Relief Fund.

NHRMC Foundation will manage the distribution of funds or supplies to employees who suffered significant property loss during the hurricane and subsequent flooding.
