NHRMC Physician Group – New Hanover Medical Group is pleased to welcome Constance C. Foreman, MD, to the 16th Street office, where she will practice family medicine. This practice offers primary care services for the entire family, including managing health, treating illnesses and injuries, and focusing on prevention and treatment of chronic conditions.
Dr. Foreman earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology at St. Mary’s College of Maryland in St. Mary’s City, MD, and her Master of Medical Science degree from Hampton University in Hampton, Va. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree and completed her residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, Va.
Dr. Foreman has held various leadership positions, not only in her academics, but in her community as well. Selected by her peers, she was the academic chief resident in 2017 in the Ghent Family Medicine Residency program. In 2016, she was commissioned as a lieutenant in the United States Navy Reserve.
Throughout the past 10 years, Dr. Foreman has researched and presented on a wide range of subjects pertaining to family medicine. Some of these topics include body image discrepancies and motivation in African-American women, diabetes management in geriatrics, and dementia.
