NHRMC is excited to announce the expansion of PETCT to include an Axumin (Fluciclovine F 18) exam. Men with suspected recurrence of prostate cancer based on rising PSA levels will now have access locally to an exam that the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) says should be considered in the clinical workup.
NHRMC is the only medical center in southeastern North Carolina that offers Axumin.

- Patient prep: Avoid significant exercise 24 hours in advance; no food or liquids for 4 hours in advance
- Exam lasts 30 minutes
