WILMINGTON, NC – The New Hanover Regional Medical Center Foundation has joined #GivingTuesday, a global effort to bring awareness to giving back during the season of giving. Held on Tuesday, Dec. 1, after Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this day aims to inspire people to improve their local communities by spending in impactful ways for the causes they support.
The NHRMC Foundation encourages those within the local community, or those who have been touched by New Hanover Regional Medical Center, to show their support by making a donation on #GivingTuesday.
There are many ways to give including online donations, annual giving, bequests and personalized holiday gift cards that can be given in honor of a loved one.
Donors can support various areas within the organization such as the NHRMC Betty H. Cameron Women’s and Children’s Hospital, NHRMC Heart Center, Pink Ribbon Project, SECU Family House, Zimmer Cancer Center and more. A gift in any amount makes a direct difference in the care and services NHRMC offers. All donations are tax-deductible and remain local.
Created by 92nd Street Y – a cultural center in New York City that has been bringing people together around the values of service and giving back for almost 14 decades, #GivingTuesday connects diverse groups of individuals, communities and organizations around the world for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving. Now in its fourth year, #GivingTuesday has continued to shape, grow and strengthen the movement.
