Novant Health presents a child maltreatment mini-series.

Applies to: All team members, physicians and advanced practice providers.

What: The child maltreatment team at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center is a multi-disciplinary team with a passion for helping children and families. The team is offering six 30-minute educational sessions on topics surrounding child maltreatment. Each 30-minute session is worth 0.5 CME or equivalent credits.

Novant Health is accredited by the North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) to provide CME for physicians. The NHOCME issues AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and adheres to NCMS and ACCME standards regarding industry support of CME.

Why: All healthcare workers are mandated reporters in North Carolina. It is important that as stewards of the most vulnerable in our communities, Novant Health team members know how to recognize and respond to suspected child abuse.
