How to Achieve Your Running Resolutions

Did you make a resolution to start running in 2019? What goal did you set?  Run twice a week, run a 5K, run a marathon?

The last isn’t as farfetched as you might think, especially if you tackle the half marathon. If you start now, you could be ready by March for the NHRMC Wrightsville Beach Marathon.

According to RunnersWorld, it’s important to get a good training plan in place. Make sure that plan matches your goals and stick to it.  

Select a race within driving distance. Racing close to home makes it easy for loved ones to cheer your progress and celebrate your finish with you. Letting friends and family know your goal and inviting them to be there makes it harder to back out.
