Emergency Care

Our Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, providing care from the same team of physicians who staff the emergency department at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Surgery and Endoscopy

Local surgeons as well as those who travel from Wilmington allow you to have general surgical, endoscopy, gynecological, urological, podiatry and ophthalmological procedures closer to home.

Skilled Nursing

If you are considering a skilled nursing  facility for a loved one, we invite you to visit us. We provide a supporting and caring environment for patients who need help with activities of daily living due to physical impairment or illness. Pharmacy, respiratory therapy and physical, occupational and speech therapies are available on site for added convenience. Our skilled nursing facility is the only one directly affiliated with New Hanover Regional Medical Center, meaning all patient medical records are kept in one system and your care is coordinated directly with hospital providers.

Swing Bed

This is the ideal setting for you if you no longer need the level of medical care provided in an acute care hospital, but still need skilled nursing and therapy before returning home. Here, you can get care around the clock in the safety of a hospital setting in the only swing bed facility directly affiliated with New Hanover Regional Medical Center. All patient medical records are kept in one secure system for better coordination of care with your healthcare team. We often serve those recovering from a major surgery, those recovering from a prolonged illness and those with wounds that need special care.

Rehabilitation

Our physical, occupational and speech therapists work with you at the bedside, in our therapy gym, and around the hospital to help you regain skills.  We also provide outpatient rehabilitation care at our Health & Diagnostics - Rocky Point location.

Imaging

Our Health & Diagnostic - Rocky Point location offers comprehensive testing services, including digital mammography and bone density scans.

For Our Patients and Guests

We want you to be comfortable while you are here.  If you have any questions, please talk with any staff member. We'll be happy to assist you.

Gifts

The Gift Depot is inside our front lobby, with a wide assortment of gifts, cards, and special items to share with a loved one, or yourself.

Food and Drinks

The Pender Café offers fresh and hot food to enjoy. Vending machines are located across from Emergency Room waiting room on the 1st floor.  Coffee and drinks can be purchased at the kitchen at anytime.

Pastoral/Chaplain Services

If you would like a pastor or member of the clergy to visit you while you are in the hospital, talk to a staff member and we will contact them for you.  If you don't have a specific clergy member in mind, we can provide a list of those available locally.  We also provide a peaceful chapel near our front lobby for prayer and respite.
