LEARN MORE
There are many types of birth control methods available, both temporary and permanent, including pills, intrauterine devices (IUDs) and patches. Talk to us about your needs. We’ll help you choose a method that’s best for you.
Birth Control Pills & Patches
We offer many varieties of contraception, including hormone-based options.
Depo-Provera
This hormone-based birth control drug is injected every three months. It is long-acting, reversible, and contains progestin only.
Implanon
This multi-year birth control option is inserted in the arm. Your physician will insert a flexible plastic rod the size of a matchstick under the skin of your arm. A progestin-only method of birth control, Implanon® does not contain estrogen.
IUD Placement & Removal
We insert a small, T-shaped device into the uterus for safe, effective, and long-term contraception. Our office can place and remove IUDs.
Essure
This nonsurgical, permanent form of birth control is extremely effective. Essure® works with your body to create a natural barrier against pregnancy and doesn’t require hormones. We perform the procedure in our office under local anesthesia in less than 15 minutes.
Tubal Ligation
Getting your tubes tied (also known as tubal ligation) is a surgical procedure where the fallopian tubes are clamped and blocked, or severed and sealed, permanently preventing eggs from reaching the uterus for fertilization.
