Amenities & Services
Visiting a Patient
Our family-centered environment encourages flexible visiting hours for loved ones. However, in general, visiting hours end at 9 p.m. each night. Visitors must have a badge, which you may obtain at the reception desk in the main lobby, to access patient units. Badges should be returned to the reception desk before leaving each evening.
Family badges, which allow 24-hour access, may also be issued by your nurse and should be returned before discharge or transfer to another unit.
Some departments within NHRMC Betty H. Cameron Women's & Children's Hospital have additional visiting guidelines.
Parents are welcome to stay with their babies throughout their stay in the NICU, including overnight. Family badges are issued to parents for use in accessing the NICU. However, between midnight and 5 a.m. family badges will not work. During this time, we ask that parents staying the night remain in the unit with their babies.
The NICU door will lock to visitors from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
Parents are welcome to stay with their children overnight. Loved ones are encouraged to visit, however, visiting guidelines may depend on the patient's condition, nature of treatment or other circumstances.
