Justin Hare, PharmD, FASHP
Originally from Southern New Jersey, Justin moved to Morgantown, West Virginia in 1997. He received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy and went on to complete a PGY-1 Residency at West Virginia University Hospitals. He spent the next 2+ years at the hospital as the Nephrology Clinical Pharmacist, having served as a primary preceptor for both WVU students and residents during that time span. He then accepted the position of Assistant Director of Pharmacy in 2006, and has served as Interim Director of Pharmacy twice, from 2008-2009 and again in 2017. As an Assistant Director, his responsibilities included duties of Residency Program Coordinator, PGY-1 Program Director, and Intern Program Coordinator. Additionally, he facilitated IPPE and APPE rotations for both Institutional Practice and Practice Management. In 2014 he was inducted into the WVU School of Pharmacy Centennial Hall of Fame.
As a member of WVSHP, Justin served as an Alternate for WV in the ASHP House of Delegates for two years (2012 & 2013), and as one of the two elected delegates from 2014-2017. He was an elected Board Member At-Large from 2013 to 2014. In 2016 WVSHP presented him with the "Excellence in Health Systems Pharmacy Award".
Justin was a Past Chair for the Eastern States Residency Conference (ESRC) and was a member of the ESRC Advisory Board from 2013-2017.
As an active member of ASHP, Justin was a member of the ASHP Accreditation Advisory Committee, the ASHP Pharm Academic Advisory Committee, and serves as a PGY-1 Accreditation Surveyor. In 2017, Justin was awarded with Fellowship Status by ASHP.
In 2017, Justin relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina and accepted the position of Inpatient Pharmacy Manager at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
