Clinical Assistant Professor
Department of Family Medicine
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
I grew up in Peoria, Arizona where I stayed until undergrad when I moved to Tucson to study physiology at the University of Arizona. I attended the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University for medical school. I met my wife in high school and we decided after medical school to try out somewhere new. We moved to Wilmington after matching to the family medicine program. I completed my residency here at Coastal Family Medicine. I enjoyed the program and location so much that I decided to stay on as medical director after graduation.
I have two little girls at home who both love the beach. Wilmington is the perfect place for us with plenty to do outside of Residency work. It is a great place for people who enjoy the outdoors. I also enjoy learning and exploring history, another thing Wilmington is not short on. The range of old buildings and shipwrecks along the Cape Fear River and surrounding beaches is quite impressive.
I enjoy full spectrum family medicine and after finishing my residency here, I feel ready for just about anything that comes through the exam room door!
