Biography

Hey everyone!

My name is Emma Ciborowski, and I was born and raised in West Springfield, Massachusetts. For undergrad I studied Biology and Philosophy at Siena College near Albany, NY, which is where I met my fiancé Brian. Brian and I decided we had enough cold and snow in our lives, and chose to come south to NC after graduating. I attended medical school at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Buies Creek, NC. In looking for a residency, I wanted a program where I’d learn it all – adult medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, procedures, and osteopathic treatment. I was originally drawn to this program by the true full scope family medicine training offered, and after witnessing the way the residents here supported one another during my month as an intern, I knew where I wanted to spend my three years of residency. I am thrilled to be a part of the team here at Coastal Family Medicine!

Outside of medicine, my favorite place to be is on the water. As a kid I spent my summers at the lake swimming, tubing, waterskiing, and jetskiing with my three older brothers, and as an adult I picked up kayaking and paddleboarding. My other favorite hobby is dance – I spent 15 years in formal classes for tap and jazz and was on a competitive step team in college. I also enjoy live music, exploring hiking trails with my dog Reggie, and of course spending time on the beach. Brian and I are so excited to call Wilmington home, and can’t wait to explore all it has to offer!
