Dana Brooks, DO

NHRMC Family Medicine Resident, PGY III

Office Information

Hello! My name is Dana Brooks and I was born in the small town of Wooster, Ohio.  I then spent four years of undergrad in Michigan at Albion College studying biology and playing both basketball and golf. I met my wife, Constance, in Albion and we just recently got married, went on our honeymoon, and then made the journey to Wilmington, NC to start our new life together. Although I’ve lived most of my life in the Midwest, I am a southern boy at heart and am thrilled to call Wilmington and Coastal Family Medicine my home. I am a huge sports fan, especially basketball, and a Duke enthusiast (Go Blue Devils). My wife and I love everything outdoors—hiking, swimming, running, getting ice cream, going to the beach, surfing/snowboarding, and petting every friendly dog that passes by.

I feel grateful to be apart of such an amazing institution at NHRMC.  The sense of ‘family’ is evident—from the front office staff all the way to the attending physicians. This residency program practices the full-scope of family medicine and each of the faculty has a passion for teaching, mentoring, and fostering a holistic approach to medicine. The area also offers a friendly and diverse patient population in which to practice. After residency, I plan to continue my training with a fellowship in Sports Medicine. I look forward to soaking up the sun these next three years and taking on every opportunity to help better myself as a physician here at Coastal Family Medicine.
