New Hanover Regional Medical Center is a large community-based, teaching hospital, designated as a Level 2 Trauma Referral Center with 769 beds serving communities in southeastern North Carolina.

NHRMC Zimmer Cancer Center

NHRMC Zimmer Cancer Center provides the only fully integrated multidisciplinary oncologic service in southeastern North Carolina. It is accredited as a Teaching Hospital Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

The Surgical Pavilion provides area residents access to surgical services in a comfortable setting with 26 operating rooms large enough to accommodate advanced laparoscopic procedures and the latest in surgical technology, including the da Vinci Surgical System. With the only da Vinci surgical robot in the Wilmington area, the Surgical Pavilion can provide the latest in minimally invasive surgery.

NHRMC Atlantic SurgiCenter

NHRMC Atlantic SurgiCenter, a department of New Hanover Regional Medical Center, specializes in same-day surgeries including pediatric and adult procedures. Located at Scotts Hill Medical Park just in front of the Emergency Department-North building, NHRMC Atlantic SurgiCenter provides a comfortable, high-quality option for surgeries not requiring a stay in the hospital.
