Registration is open for the 30th Annual Trauma & Acute Care Symposium. This year's event will take place on Friday, February 8th and Saturday, February 9th at the Wilmington Convention Center.

Friday will consist of two pre-conference workshops - a Trauma Certified Registered Nurse Review Course, and a Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness Course.
Saturday will be the main conference featuring Dr. Leonard J. Weireter, Jr., MD, FACS as the keynote speaker, along with a great lineup of other speakers. We hope that you are able to attend and celebrate the 30th anniversary of trauma education!

Pre-Conference Workshop | Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) Course

This trauma certification review course is designed and developed to prepare nurses specializing in trauma care to take the TCRN Examination. This review course provides topics featured on the examination such as neurotrauma, chest, abdominal, extremity and wound, injury prevention and professional issues in trauma nursing. It also provides hints throughout the course on test- taking skills.

 

Pre-Conference Workshop | Disaster Management & Emergency Preparedness (DMEP) Course

The Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness (DMEP) course teaches planning methods, preparedness, and medical management of trauma patients in mass casualty disaster situations. Through lecture and interactive scenarios, health care providers learn incident command terminology, principals of disaster triage, injury patterns, and availability of assets for support during the one-day program.
