Did you know that globally more than 1 billion people have a disability? Disability is a natural part of the human experience, yet oftentimes we may feel uncomfortable or nervous talking about it. At Novant Health, we want to provide an inclusive space for all people, including those who have disabilities and those who have loved ones with disabilities.
Join Tanya S. Blackmon, executive vice president and chief diversity, inclusion and equity officer, and the persons with disabilities (PWD) business resource group (BRG) for a Zoom chat Feb. 3, from noon to 1 p.m.
During this event, you will hear team members share their stories of living with a disability, whether visible or invisible, and find out how we all can provide an inclusive environment for team members, patients and visitors who have a disability. This event is also a safe space for you to share your own experiences if you feel comfortable.
We hope you will join us as we normalize and celebrate disability as a dimension of diversity.
