Information Services will update the Citrix Receiver on computers across the organization in order to eliminate a critical software bug in the current version.
The update will take place on Tuesday, October 5 at 1 a.m. For sites that are not 24/7, we ask that your teams log out of their computers and leave them on as they depart work on Monday, October 4. We also ask that all laptops be plugged into wall power and powered on.
For 24/7 sites, a pop-up message will appear at 12:50 a.m. reminding users that at 1 a.m. the new software will be installed and the computer will reboot. Users should save any data and leave their computers on. The whole process will be automated and should take no longer than 10 minutes. Although no negative impacts are expected, members of the Information Services Desktop Team will be available first thing in the morning to address any issues that may arise.
