HCFSA Eligible Expenses
Your Employee Self Service
You can manage your information at home by logging into Employee Self Service through Remote Access.
You can only be reimbursed through the HCFSA for certain healthcare expenses permitted by the IRS that are not reimbursed by other insurance. If you are also participating in the High Deductible Health Plan, the expenses that qualify for reimbursement will be further restricted.
For a complete list, please refer to Publication 502, which is available on the IRS Web site, www.irs.gov. When you incur an eligible medical expense, you can either pay the expense and submit a written claim for reimbursement or use the Benny™ card to pay the expense.
If you submit a written claim for reimbursement, you will receive your reimbursement by check or direct deposit into your bank account. Regardless of how you pay for the expense, the IRS requires that you save your receipts to substantiate your reimbursements. Flores & Associates may require you to submit documentation that shows the expense is eligible for HCFSA reimbursement. Notify Flores & Associates if you believe that an expense you submitted was not eligible for reimbursement. If you are reimbursed for an expense that was not eligible for reimbursement, you will have to repay the amount.
Use It or Lose It Rule
IRS rules state that if you don't use all of the money in your account within the plan year, or the 21/2 month grace period following the plan year, those funds will no longer be available to you. To help you estimate your expenses, go to www.flores247.com and use the flex calculator.
