Daisy & Sunshine Awards

Our team members are the heart of who we are and what we do.

Patients, loved ones and team members often ask how they can thank the remarkable people who have touched their lives while they are at with us. You can show your appreciation by nominating nursing and non-clinical team members with the DAISY and Sunshine awards.

The DAISY Award

The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award, an international recognition program, was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes after he died from complications of the auto-immune disease ITP in 1999. The family wanted to establish a very public way to thank his nurses for the care and compassion shown to Patrick and his family during his hospitalization.

Today the Daisy Award is recognized in over 4,600 healthcare facilities in 29 countries.
